It’s nothing like I knew before, and it’s all I need to know.

Every now and then, posting some song lyrics is all that’s needed to best convey what’s needed to be said. Here are my top 3 favorite Christmas songs. The first is a heartfelt cry to Jesus, reflecting over the past year. The second is a worshipful song from the shepherds’ perspective at the nativity scene. The third and final song is an upbeat piece, celebrating that we have a King to save us! Enjoy and Merry Christmas 🙂
“I Celebrate the Day” by Relient K
And with this Christmas wish is missed the point I could convey. If only I could find the words to say to let You know how much You’ve touched my life; Because here is where You’re finding me, in the exact same place as New Year’s eve, and from a lack of my persistency we’re less than half as close as I want to be.And the first time that You opened Your eyes did You realize that You would be my Savior? And the first breath that left Your lips, did You know that it would change this world forever? And so this Christmas I’ll compare the things I felt in prior years to what this midnight made so clear: that You have come to meet me here.

To look back and think that this baby would one day save me, in the hope that what You did – That you were born so I might live. To look back and think that this baby would one day save me…

And I, I celebrate the day that You were born to die so I could one day pray for You to save my life.

“Adoration” by the Newsboys
I’m here with the others who saw the heavens testify. Now I hang back in the shadows – I want to come close, I want to know. She sees me shivering here, she smiles and with a nod I walk through the mud and straw to the newborn Son of God.He raises a wrinkled hand through the dust and the flies. Wrapped in rags like we are and with barely open eyes He takes my finger, and He won’t let go – and He won’t let go. It’s nothing like I knew before, and it’s all I need to know.Come, let us adore Him! He has come down to the world we live in! And all I have to give Him is adoration.

God is with us here! Our Immanuel! God is with us here! Our Immanuel!

O come let us adore Him! O come let us adore Him!

Jesus, our Immanuel is with us here and He won’t let go.
“Born is the King” by Hillsong – Music Video
Born unto us this day a Saviour! Gifted from heaven to a manger. The hope of the world, a light for all mankind. All of the earth rejoice: It’s Christmas time!Goodwill to all the earth and peace divine! All of the earth rejoice: It’s Christmas time! It’s Christmas time!
So lift up your voice and sing out His praise! It’s Christmas! Born is the King, rejoice in the day! It’s Christmas! Make a joyful sound! It’s Christmas! Let His praise resound! It’s Christmas!
